Head of Growth
We've spent two years building: products, a hosting pilot, client tooling, a self-hosted platform that runs the whole business. What we haven't done is sell it. You'd be the first dedicated go-to-market hire, the person who owns turning what we've built into customers and revenue, working directly with the founders. To be clear up front: this is a contract position for someone who has done this before. It's a role we're hiring experience into, not one we can teach.
Not there yet but think you could be? There's a path for that below.
What you'll do
- Own go-to-market end to end: positioning, messaging, launches, outreach, and the sales conversations themselves.
- Find the people who need what we've already built and get it in front of them. The products exist; the pipeline doesn't yet.
- Run the full funnel yourself: source leads, qualify them, carry the conversation, and close or bring a founder in for the technical last mile.
- Build the public presence for the studio and its brands: content, community, channels. Much of this you'll be standing up from zero.
- Use AI tools as a core part of your daily workflow for research, drafting, and analysis, with your judgment as the filter on everything that ships.
- Weigh in on pricing and packaging. You'll hear what the market says before anyone else here does.
- Track what actually works, report it plainly once a month, and adjust. No vanity-metric theater.
What we're looking for
- You've done growth, sales, or marketing professionally for years, and you've owned the number, not assisted the person who did. We're not hiring someone to learn this on the job.
- You've sold something or grown something with results you can show us: revenue, pipeline, an audience, a launch. Numbers beat titles here.
- You can learn a technical product well enough to sell it honestly. Our buyers can smell a script.
- You write well. Outreach, landing copy, and posts all come from your keyboard, and filler doesn't survive your drafts.
- You already use AI tools daily and can explain exactly where they help you and where they don't. This isn't optional or aspirational for this role.
- You're self-directed. We'll give you context and access, not a script.
What you get
- Fully remote. We don't care where you work from.
- No set hours. Async by default; we judge output, not time online.
- Skin in the game: commission on what you close, and for the right person an equity conversation. This is a founding seat, not a contractor gig with a fancy title.
- Your AI tools paid for: Claude subscription plus whatever outreach and analytics stack you actually need. You also get the keys to the internal tools we've built for ourselves, from our CRM and contract signing to multi-agent pipelines.
- A budget for software and gear the role requires. If a tool makes you faster, we buy it.
- A short daily report instead of standups: post what shipped and what's next, on your schedule. Meetings only when they're actually needed.
- Direct line to the founders. Ideas go from message to shipped without an approval chain.
- The seat grows with the company. The person who builds this function is who we'd want running it as CMO/CRO when it's a team instead of a person.
- Other clients are fine while it's contract work. We don't do non-competes for this role.
Nice to have
- Experience selling to developers, gamers, or technical buyers.
- You've done early-stage before and know what zero-to-first-customer actually feels like.
- Basic design chops (Figma, Canva) for turning ideas into visuals.
- Comfort reading analytics beyond the surface numbers.
Want to grow into this role?
The listing says experienced only, and we mean it for the seat itself. But if you're earlier in your career and convinced you can get there, we'll read your case. Here's what convinces us:
- You've grown something of your own, even small: a community, an audience, a store, a side project with real users. Scale matters less than the fact you did it on purpose.
- You can show us writing that made someone act: a post that converted, outreach that got replies, a pitch that landed.
- You already use AI tools daily and can show how they multiply your output.
- You're realistic about the shape of it: you'd start on a smaller scope at a smaller rate and earn your way into the full seat as the results show up.
Email us why you think you can do it. Be specific, show receipts, and skip the buzzwords. A believable plan from a hungry beginner beats a vague resume every time.
