Self-Hosted App Handoff Template

A simple handoff structure for self-hosted apps: URLs, service files, backups, credentials, recovery steps, and update notes.

What to document

Public URL and internal URL
Host, container, VM, or VPS location
Service manager command
Config file paths
Backup location and restore command
Credential owner and rotation notes

Why it matters

If a service cannot survive a reboot, a password rotation, or a disk warning, it is not really done. Handoff notes turn a working install into something another person can operate.
